We are a breeder of true multi-generation Australian Labradoodles. We are located 15 minutes south of downtown San Diego, in Bonita, California. Nearby Chula Vista and the US/Mexico international border are minutes away.
Our dogs are family pets. Our puppies are raised with us in our home, for the utmost socialization and because the labradoodle thrives on and requires human companionship. We do not have kennels. Our dogs sleep with us in our bedroom at the foot of our beds. We personally groom the dogs and they are fed a biologically appropriate raw meat diet.
We came to the labradoodle breed after owning our first family pet, Shakespeare, for 14 years. He was a yellow Labrador retriever that suffered hip dysplasia, cataracts, and allergies his last years. Before he passed, we wanted to find him a dog companion to whom he could share and teach his great loyal temperament.
Our research for a new family pet led us to our neutered F1B (75% poodle/ 25% Labrador retriever) American Labradoodle, Murray. Murray joined our family when he was 7 months old. His intuition and intelligence were readily apparent to us. Murray is a tall boy at over 27” tall but is sometimes easily startled, perhaps due to his early upbringing, or his natural poodle temperament. Still, he is a great family pet who is gentle with our children and he continually aims to please.
In searching for a companion for Murray we came across the Australian multi-generation Labradoodle. We were attracted to the idea of fewer inheritable genetic disorders that are commonly associated with the poodle and Labrador retriever breeds. In addition, the breed's overall unique coat and appearance, athleticism, and mellow temperament compelled us to look further into the Australian Labradoodle.
The Australian Labradoodle’s placid, intuitive, and obedient temperament combined with its low/non-shed, allergy-friendly coat make it the perfect family pet. Its high degree of trainability and intelligence can be seen in its successful history as a guide/therapy dog. The Australian Labradoodle is a unique and unparalleled breed and our aim is to promote and share the breed with the rest of the world.
And thus our quest begins….
